Kilian Rieder

Ph.D. from Oxford University; lead economist at the Economic Analysis and Research Department of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) and research affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR); worked as assistant professor at the Economics Department at the Vienna University of Economics and Business; gained full-time working experience in monetary policy and banking supervision at the OeNB, the Austrian Financial Market Authority, the European Central Bank, Magyar Nemzeti Bank and the Bank of England; worked as a stipendiary lecturer at Pembroke College, Oxford University; teaches graduate courses at the Vienna University of Economics and Business; his research interests are macroeconomics and economic history; recent work focuses on the effects of financial stability policies, central bank responses to financial crises and central bank communication.
