Cancellation of the Arbitration Summer Program 2021

Given the present state of affairs with respect to the COVID pandemic, we decided with a heavy heart to cancel the Summer Program 2021 of the Austrian Arbitration Academy.

We are looking forward to resume our successful Arbitration Summer Program in 2022!

Every July, the Austrian Arbitration Academy offers its two weeks intensive Arbitration Summer Program within the organizational framework of the Sommerhochschule of the University of Vienna at Lake Wolfgang. In January and February, we were able to hold our annual Winter Program on “Arbitration Rules in Practice” as a webinar, which attracted participants from all over the world.

Given the present state of affairs with respect to the COVID pandemic, it was clear that we could not expect to bring students and lecturers from abroad to Austria for the Arbitration Summer Program inter praesentes in July. As both arbitration itself and, accordingly, the Arbitration Summer Program are international in nature, it was not an option to have a mere domestic Arbitration Summer Program this year. We therefore discussed whether organising an online Arbitration Summer Program might be an attractive solution, and we arrived at the result that it is not an option for the Arbitration Program – nobody really wants to spend two full weeks in July with an Arbitration online course.

Therefore, we decided with a heavy heart to cancel the 2021 Arbitration Summer Program of the Austrian Arbitration Academy. We do hope that we will be able to resume our successful Summer Program in July 2022!
