Apart from the academic knowledge gained during the summer program, the most important asset of the International Summer Program is the experience of living and studying in an international and intercultural environment. Getting to know participants from various different cultural backgrounds personally does not only broaden the student’s horizon but also gives them the chance to build connections and friendships across countries and nations.
We believe that such cross-cultural connections and open mindedness enhance mutual understanding and respect between nations and cultures. They build the foundation for tolerance among people – a prerequisite for peace and harmony. This platform intends to help former participants to keep and strengthen the network of friends and colleagues they built at the summer program.
The alumni network's aim is to (re)connect SHS alumni across the years and regions and to create a link between former and future participants.
