Application Requirements

Applicants must have completed two years of law studies at college or university level and have prior knowledge of Arbitration before the beginning of the program.

Applicants must be in attendance for the whole period of the Arbitration Rules in Practice course, be able to take part in required number of classes, and have an adequate command of the English language.

Application Procedure

The Sommerhochschule has a rolling admission policy and considers applications in the order of their arrival. Since the Arbitration Rules in Practice course is open to a limited number of participants, early application is encouraged.
The application deadline for the Arbitration Spring Program is April 30, 2024. The application material must have reached the Sommerhochschule by this date.

To apply for admission applicants have to complete the application form available as download and submit it together with all required application material.

The program fee is considered part of the application material and must be transferred to the bank account of the Sommerhochschule by April 30, 2024. (Please see Fees & Payment).

Participants are selected based on their submitted application material and background. In case an applicant is denied admission to the program the program fee will be refunded.

Application Material

Applicants have to submit the following documents:

1. Application form: Applicants must complete the application form (see below or at the section Downloads). The form has to be printed out and filled out.

2. Curriculum Vitae

3. Statement of Purpose: Applicants have to submit a written statement of motivation (maximum length one page).

4. Program fee: The program fee has to be transferred to the bank account of the Sommerhochschule. 

Please note that applications will not be reviewed until all required materials have been received. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
